I dub this "Gladiator" Oatmeal after the fact that research suggests that Gladiators at primarily a vegetarian diet and had grains and dried fruit as part of that. So here's a twist on their fare - oatmeal, raisins and bacon flavored coconut.
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 + 1 Tbs. cup unsweetened almond milk
2 Tablespoons coconut "bacon"
2 Tablespoons raisins
Microwaved oats for 2 minutes with milk then stir in coconut flakes and raisins and fresh black pepper.
I keep the coconut "bacon" in a mason jar in my pantry for a week.
