As a certified health coach, my job is to coach people through the lifestyle changes needed to [manage their insulin resistance/lose weight/implement an exercise regime/improve their sleep/manage stress].  I specialize in working with people with prediabetes and type-2 diabetes.  I help them implement changes so that they can better control their conditions. 

 

As a long-time vegan and plant-based Food for Life cooking instructor, one of my strengths is helping people add more plants to their diets up to and including transitioning to a completely plant-based diet.  I work with people who want to get healthy and continue eating animal products.

I can assist your patients and ensure they understand the lifestyle changes that you recommend. I work closely with them, to implement the complex behavior changes that are often required to make significant improvements in their health.

how do my services work?

  • I work with clients in groups or one-to-one, either online or over the phone, to coach them on healthy lifestyle changes, so they can overcome any barriers standing in their way

  • I help guide clients toward their health goals according to your recommendations

  • I meet with clients on a regular basis to provide accountability and constant support

  • My sessions with clients are about 45-60 minutes long, providing ample time for personalized attention and support

 

  • I help each of my clients create individualized health goals, tailored to fit with their lifestyles, challenges, and needs

  • I help my clients move toward their health goals, so they can return to you, their physician, with improved markers (improved blood glucose control, lowered lipid levels, improved blood pressure readings, and/or weighing less)

who is a good candidate for referral?

I typically work with adults with one or more chronic conditions, such as prediabetes, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure or overweight/obesity who are trying to eat better and move more all while juggle the demands of their busy life.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated to make changes to their lifestyle, but needs guidance and support to implement healthy changes.
