Seared Cauliflower

Cauliflower = cruciferous vegetable = phytochemicals. Phytochemicals are natural chemicals found in plants that can help reduce you risk of cancer. Other cruciferous vegetables are broccoli, cabbage, collard greens.

 

This simple dish can be quite filling and round out a meal.

  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 Tablespoons tamari
  • Water
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons minced parsley
1.  Over medium-high heat, saute the cauliflower, slowly stirring it until it just browns.  

2.  Then add tamari. When the tamari starts to stick to the pan, add 3-4 Tablespoons of water and the garlic. Allow the sauce to reduce until it just coats the cauliflower.

3.  Remove the cauliflower from the heat and immediately toss it with the parsley.
