Schedule this Daily
Nov 02, 2022
Have you ever told yourself that you'll start working out tomorrow, only to find that tomorrow never comes? If you're having trouble sticking to your fitness goals, it might be time to put your workouts on your schedule. Like any other appointment, adding your workouts to your calendar will help ensure they actually get done.
And when you see the workout on your schedule, you'll be more likely to follow through with it. You can also use your calendar to plan for other important aspects of your workout, such as what workout you'll do that day and your post-workout snack. By planning ahead, you can make sure that your workouts are as convenient and effective as possible. So if you're ready to get serious about prioritizing exercise, start by putting your workouts on your schedule.
When scheduling you may want to consider your energy level. Stay tuned for a future blog on this fine-tuning step.
Also, let's get real - if you just don’t see time in your schedule for movement, consider the Opportunities To Move (or OTMs) that present themselves naturally in your day. This way you can increase your movement without a “scheduled” workout. And since everything from walking and gardening to taking a boogie break counts, these OTMs can add up to better health for you that's sustainable!!
