Eating throughout the day can be a great way to keep energy levels up and to keep your blood sugar stable (so less cravings). Some snacks with added protein can add that extra zip of energy you need to stay productive and focused. When it comes to healthy protein-packed snacks, there are many tasty options available.
Hummus or bean dip (remove or limit oil in recipe if desired) with vegetables or whole grain crackers, fruit smoothies made with plant-based yogurt or protein powder, yogurt parfaits with fresh fruit, granola and nuts, Edamame plain or seasoned, roasted chickpeas, quinoa tabbouleh (pomegranate seeds are optional), for fruit and a little bit of nuts.
The key is to ensure your snacks are balanced and nutritionally dense to maximize how fueled you feel for your daily tasks ahead.
